The Community Social Pediatrics Center (CSPC) Main dans la main is a non-profit organization based in Cowansville, in the Eastern Townships, that supports children aged 0 to 18 living in highly vulnerable situations. In collaboration with families, professionals and the community, the Center offers care and services adapted to support children's overall development, while respecting their rights and dignity.

CSPC Main dans la main offers a range of care and services adapted to children aged 0 to 18 living in highly vulnerable situations. The life trajectory of each child at CSPC is monitored by a multidisciplinary team (doctor, social worker and special care counsellor).
Services include medical consultations, psychosocial and special education support, art therapy and zootherapy. The Center also offers an annual program of activities tailored to identified needs: activities to support educational success, group interventions to develop socio-emotional skills (anxiety management, assertiveness, self-esteem), activities promoting healthy lifestyle habits, children's rights committee, cultural outings, and more.
A child can be referred by anyone who sees that they are in a highly vulnerable situation, or are experiencing a complex problem linked to difficult living conditions that are detrimental to his or her development: parents, neighbors, teachers, childcare workers, caregivers, etc.
With the agreement of the parent(s), call 450 260-1414 and inform the receptionist of the situation. We will then gather some information about the child, the family and the reason for referral. A social worker will subsequently contact the family to carry out a telephone pre-assessment.
All new service requests are assessed through telephone contact with a psychosocial counsellor.

CSPC also accepts donations in kind, such as professional services or new equipment (clothing, toys, school supplies, personal hygiene care or non-perishable food items).

It is not possible to make a designated donation to a particular service, project or child. All donations received by CSPC Main dans la main go into a common fund that supports all activities and services offered by the Center

Throughout the year, CSPC Main dans la main organizes a number of fundraising events. Among the most important are the Back-to-School Event in August, with school bag distribution and festive activities, and the Guignolée, a fundraising event held during the holiday season. The Center also takes part in the annual Bromont Ultra, a charity run to raise funds.
The Bromont Ultra is a sporting and charitable event in which CSPC Main dans la main has been participating since 2018 to raise funds for children in highly vulnerable situations in Brome-Missisquoi. Every year, runners unite to support the cause of community social pediatrics. It's a great opportunity to combine physical effort with solidarity.

The CSPC Main dans la main's Guignolée is a major annual fundraising event in support of our region's most vulnerable children. Thanks to the generosity of the community, monetary donations are collected to provide essential services and ongoing support throughout the year.
It's a concrete gesture of solidarity that makes a real difference. 100% donations collected throughout the region are invested locally in the best interests of our community's children.
The CSPC Main dans la main Back-to-School Event is an annual event organized to support children and families in Brome-Missisquoi as the new school year approaches. During this festive day, children receive backpacks filled with school supplies. Activities, entertainment, haircuts and other services are also offered free of charge.
It's a moment of solidarity, joy and mutual aid, helping every child to start the year on the right foot. Donations of money or school supplies are always welcome to make this day a success.

Our funding comes from several sources to ensure the sustainability of our services. To date, it breaks down as follows: 35 % from the Fondation du Dr Julien, 29 % from public funds, 18 % from events and fundraising campaigns, 11 % from private foundations and 5 % from corporate and individual donations.
It should be noted that 79 % of every dollar received is directly invested in children's services: care, workshops, activities, meals, snacks and other essential needs.
