At CSPC Main dans la main, every child living in a highly vulnerable situation finds a warm and secure environment in which to grow and flourish. Thanks to our multidisciplinary team (doctors, social workers, special care counsellors, etc.), we offer personalized, bilingual (French/English) support tailored to the unique needs of each young person. This ongoing support is provided in close collaboration with families, schools, the healthcare network and the community.
We believe that health is more than just the body. It also encompasses the heart, the mind, relationships and the environment. As part of its holistic approach to health, CSPC professionals offer services that are tailored to the specific needs of each child. These include
Assessment and orientation meeting involving child, family, partners and CSPC team
Medical consultations and overall health monitoring
Individual and group psychosocial and educational support
Group interventions to develop socio-affective skills (anxiety, assertiveness, self-esteem, etc.)
Integrated approach: close collaboration with schools, the healthcare network, community organizations and regional partners
Each of these services is offered free of charge, in a caring and safe environment, to support children in all spheres of their development with creativity, gentleness and a strong grounding in everyday life. Here are just a few examples of the activities offered at CSPC.
Because no parent should feel alone when faced with their child's difficulties, access to our services is direct and caring. A simple referral - from a parent, relative or caregiver - is all it takes to start the process. From the very first call, our team takes the time to listen, to understand the reality of the child and their family, and to accompany them to the first meeting.
The child must be between 0 and 18 years of age and a resident of Brome-Missisquoi. He or she must be experiencing several sources of major stress and/or major difficulties that are detrimental to his or her health or development, for example :

With the consent of the family or legal guardian, a child may be referred by any person who is aware that he or she is living in a highly vulnerable situation, or that he or she is grappling with a complex problem linked to difficult living conditions that could adversely affect his or her development:
All new referrals are assessed by telephone contact with a psychosocial counsellor. Information will be gathered about the child, the family and the reason for the referral. Once the request has been evaluated and deemed eligible, we will contact the family to schedule the first meeting.
