Back-to-School Celebration 2026: The Community Comes Together!

The August 10, the CPSC Main dans la main celebrated the 9th annual Back-to-School Festival, and for the very first time at its new location. It was a day filled with smiles, new connections, and wonderful moments that reminded us, once again, of the strength of our community.

This year, 170 backpacks Backpacks filled with school supplies were given to the children so they could start the school year with everything they need. But the Back-to-School Celebration is also an opportunity to enjoy a day designed especially for the children and their families.

Throughout the day, families were able to enjoy haircuts, of a rmeals and snacks, in addition to participating in several activities. Inflatable Play Structure, costume makeup, smoothie bike and even a tour of COWI, the official mascot of the City of Cowansville, were there!

A goal that was far exceeded

This year, we set a goal of 12,000 $. Thanks to a response that exceeded all our expectations, we ultimately reached 25,750 $ in monetary and in-kind donations which were raised—more than double our initial goal.

At a time when the cost of living and back-to-school expenses are placing significant strain on many families, this generosity allows us to provide tangible support to the children we serve, while also giving them a positive and unifying experience.
