For the very first time, the children and families supported by CPSC Main dans la main walked through the doors of our new Centre. A simple gesture, perhaps, but one filled with meaning for our entire team, our volunteers, our partners, and the many members of the community who helped make this project possible.
Since Main dans la main was founded in 2014, we have always believed that every child deserves to be cared for, listened to, and supported so they can reach their full potential. Over the years, needs have grown, the number of children we serve has increased, and our dream of providing a space even better suited to families has taken shape.
Much more than just a building
This new Centre represents much more than a simple change of address. Every space has been thoughtfully designed with the children and families we support in mind. More functional clinical rooms will allow us to provide additional follow-up services in a welcoming environment that respects the needs of each individual. An entire floor is now dedicated to our community living space, where a variety of educational activities—an essential part of our approach—will take place.
We have created a place where children feel safe, where families feel welcomed, and where meaningful connections can grow naturally. A place they can truly call their own.
A collaborative effort
This project became a reality thanks to an incredible outpouring of community support. Behind every wall, every room, and every improvement are people who chose to believe in our mission. Donors, partners, volunteers, businesses, and community members all played a part in bringing this welcoming and inspiring space to life.
Seeing the first children walk through its doors today is a deeply moving moment, one that reminds us of everything that can be accomplished when a community comes together around its children.
A New Chapter
The opening of this new Centre marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. With a larger, more thoughtfully designed space, we will be able to welcome more families, respond to growing needs, and continue providing high-quality care and support to the children we serve.
